Information we use

For a Free Workshop Pass, we may use your name, verified email address, password hash, verification status, Pass activation and expiration dates, Pass status, completion choices, last successful login time, Terms acceptance information, and necessary operational timestamps.

We do not need a detailed member profile for the proof of concept.

Why we use it

We use this information to verify your email, manage your account and Pass, control protected workshop access, remember the workshops you mark completed, provide password recovery, send necessary account and Pass messages, and support account problems.

DigitalOcean and Mailchimp

The 5MWS account system is intended to run in the existing DigitalOcean environment. Mailchimp is used for contact management and marketing communications. Activating a Pass does not by itself reverse an existing marketing unsubscribe.

Marketing choice

Marketing consent is optional and separate from getting a Free Workshop Pass. You can decline marketing and still use necessary account functions. Marketing unsubscribe does not cancel your account or Pass or erase completion history.

Analytics and cookies

The site may use necessary cookies for account and security functions. Standard Google Analytics 4 may be used for basic site analytics when analytics consent is enabled. Names, email addresses, and other personally identifying member data should not be sent to GA4.

Completion tracking

Completion is user-controlled. Opening or scrolling a workshop does not automatically mark it completed.

Sale and targeted advertising

At proof-of-concept launch, 5MinuteWorkshops.com does not sell member personal information and does not use Pass or member records for third-party targeted advertising.

Children

5MinuteWorkshops.com is not directed to children under 13.

Deletion and privacy requests

The proof-of-concept site does not include a self-service deletion system. Privacy and deletion requests can be handled manually.
