5 Minute Workshops
How to Turn Repeated Client Questions Into Compelling Reasons
Your clients and prospects might already be telling you what your marketing should explain.
When people ask the same question again and again, it often points to a concern they want resolved before they feel ready to move forward.
In this workshop, you'll use one repeated question to draft a Compelling Reason based on a benefit people already care about.
01By The End Of This Workshop
By the end of this workshop, you'll have one draft Compelling Reason based on a real question your clients or prospects often ask.
02What You'll Learn
- Why repeated questions can reveal important prospect concerns
- How to find the benefit hiding behind a question
- How to turn that benefit into a Compelling Reason
03The Problem
Most agents answer client questions one conversation at a time. They give a helpful answer, solve the immediate concern, and move on.
But if several people ask the same question, the answer could help more than the person asking it.
A repeated question often shows that prospects are missing an important piece of information. They might be worried about communication, timing, preparation, costs, competition, or what happens next.
If your marketing doesn't address that concern, prospects might assume you offer the same experience as every other agent. A useful benefit remains hidden because you haven't explained it before they ask.
04The Simple Lesson
Don't focus on the question alone. Look for the concern behind it.
For example, a seller who asks, “How often will I hear from you?” might be worried about feeling ignored or being left unsure about what is happening.
Your answer explains what you do. The Compelling Reason explains what the client gets from it.
Use this simple path:
- Question: What do clients keep asking?
- Concern: What might they be worried about?
- Action: What do you actually do to help?
- Benefit: How does that make the experience better for them?
The benefit can become the starting point for a Compelling Reason. Keep it factual. Describe a service you really provide and a result you can honestly support.
05Real Estate Example
Imagine sellers often ask, “Will I know what is happening after my home goes on the market?”
The concern isn't just a lack of information. They might be worried that they will feel forgotten once the listing is signed.
If you provide scheduled updates, explain showing feedback, and discuss the next steps, your draft Compelling Reason might be:
“You'll know what is happening, what the feedback means, and what we should consider next.”
That message is more useful than saying, “I provide great communication.” It tells sellers what your communication helps them understand and why that matters.
06What This Means For Your Marketing
Repeated questions can help you discover several of your 12 Compelling Reasons To Do Business With You.
Each question points to something prospects want to understand before making a decision. When you answer that concern with a clear benefit, your marketing becomes more relevant to the people you want to reach.
You can place the finished Compelling Reason on your website, in an email, in a social post, or beside a Virtually Branded Scene. Visual Social Proof can help attract attention, while Spaced Repetition helps the message and your website become easier to recognize and remember.
075-Minute Action Step
Write down three questions your clients or prospects often ask. Choose the question that seems tied to the biggest concern.
Complete these four lines:
- They ask: __________
- They might be worried about: __________
- I help by: __________
- The benefit to them is: __________
Use the final line to draft one Compelling Reason. Make sure it describes a real benefit you can support.
Five minutes is the goal, not a cutoff. Take a little extra time if more research or thought will improve your result.
08Your Result
You should now have one draft Compelling Reason built from a real question and a concern your prospects already care about.
