5 Minute Workshops
How to Give AI Enough Facts to Write Useful Marketing Copy
AI can write fast. But speed doesn't make the copy useful.
If you give AI a short, vague request, it has to fill in the gaps. The result may sound smooth, but it could also sound like every other agent. It may even include details that aren't true.
The answer isn't a longer, more confusing prompt. The answer is better source facts. In this workshop, you'll create a short fact brief that gives AI something real to work with.
01By The End Of This Workshop
You'll have a simple fact brief you can give AI before asking it to write marketing copy about one Compelling Reason.
02What You'll Learn
- Why vague requests lead to generic copy
- Which facts help AI write something specific
- How to check the copy before you use it
03The Problem
An agent types, “Write a great social post about why sellers should hire me.” AI responds with polished lines about service, results, and care.
The copy may sound fine. But it doesn't tell prospects what this agent actually does, why it matters, or why they should believe it.
AI can't know the useful facts unless you provide them. It doesn't know your process, your client experience, your proof, or the words you normally use. When facts are missing, the copy often becomes broad and forgettable.
That creates a second risk: a sentence may sound believable even when it isn't supported by your real business.
04The Simple Lesson
Give AI facts before asking it for finished copy. A useful fact brief can be short. It just needs the right details.
For one marketing message, give AI these five things:
- Audience: Who should care about this message?
- Service fact: What do you actually do?
- Benefit: How can that help the client?
- Proof: What real detail supports the message?
- Voice: How should the copy sound?
Then give AI one clear job. Ask for a headline, email, social post, or website paragraph. Don't ask for everything at once.
AI should shape your facts. It should NOT invent the facts.
05Real Estate Example
Instead of asking, “Write a post about my great communication,” an agent provides this brief:
- Audience: Home sellers who worry they won't know what's happening
- Service fact: I send a written update every Friday during the listing
- Benefit: Sellers know what happened and what comes next
- Proof: The update covers showings, feedback, marketing activity, and next steps
- Voice: Calm, clear, and direct
Now AI can build copy around a real Compelling Reason: sellers receive a clear update every Friday, so they aren't left wondering what is happening with their listing.
The copy is more specific because the input is more specific.
06What This Means For Your Marketing
Your 12 Compelling Reasons To Do Business With You should come from real facts about your service, process, experience, and proof. Once those facts are clear, AI can help turn them into useful copy for your website, email, social media, and follow-up.
The same Compelling Reason can also be paired with Visual Social Proof inside a Virtually Branded Scene. Spaced Repetition can then help prospects see and remember that message over time.
The system works because the message stays grounded in something you truly do.
075-Minute Action Step
Choose one service detail that could become a Compelling Reason. Write one sentence for each of these five labels: Audience, Service fact, Benefit, Proof, and Voice.
Paste those facts into AI. Then ask: “Using only the facts below, write one short marketing paragraph. Don't add claims, numbers, services, or results that aren't provided.”
Read the result line by line. Remove or correct anything you can't support.
Five minutes is the goal, not a cutoff. Take a little extra time if more research or thought will improve your result.
08Your Result
You now have a fact brief for one Compelling Reason and a safer way to ask AI for useful marketing copy.
09Put It To Work
Repeat this process for each of your 12 Compelling Reasons To Do Business With You. Keep the approved facts with each message so your website copy, social posts, emails, and Visual Social Proof stay consistent.
Virtually Branded Scenes can help turn those messages into a 12-week recognition campaign built around your own website. Each scene gives one Compelling Reason a visual setting that prospects can notice and remember.
